RMF Girls Basketball Academy
The Renee Montgomery Foundation hosted our first annual RMF Girl’s Basketball academy. We infused basketball and fun with enrichment sessions that included an introduction to NIL branding and how to be a successful athlete.

RMF Project Smile
Project Smile is our fundraiser to provide local, underserved youth sports organizations with the basic equipment and apparel necessary for them to play sports, and look/feel good while doing it!

RMF Jingle Jam 2022
The Renee Montgomery Foundation and The Boys & Girls Club teamed up in December 2022 for the 1st annual Jingle Jam. Younger Boys & Girls Club members enjoyed music, food and festive holiday activities. Middle school members participated in a competition to display their talents in front of prestigious judges to win swag bags and prizes! The foundations ended the event with music and tree lighting to start the holiday season.
RMF Gala 2022

RMF Career Day 2022
RMF Career Day was a huge success, thanks to the UCONN Werth Innovators! Lawyer Amy Oraefo, Josiah Johnson writer and producer of Colin in Black and White, Dr. Nachette Short pharmacist, and Shelly Omilâdè Bell, a systems disruptor and serial entrepreneur, were our elite guest speakers. They gave the tragedy and triumphs of their career and guidance for navigating obstacles they may face entering their profession. After the speakers finished their presentations, Chelsea Harris, from NextGen mogul, joined us to tell us about the free subscriptions available to everyone attending the event. At the end of the event, the participants learned about the Last Yard Scholarship. An opportunity that two participants were awarded a $1500 scholarship to tell us in a video submission about the moment that created momentum in their lives. The Werth Innovators program matched the scholarships that RMF awarded, giving each award winner a total of $3000 towards the upcoming academic year.
Renee Runs
Renee’s Run is two hours of women’s pick-up basketball promoting health and fitness along with technology. Games are 7 minutes long with real-time analytics being tracked by company 1891. After every game, each athlete can check out the large monitor for their game stats, how many calories they burned during that run as well as where they rank overall verse the other athletes planning that day. The rankings are also kept monthly and can be viewed through the 1891 app or website. Referees are provided but there will be no free throws awarded to stop play. Athletes will include former d1, overseas and WNBA athletes as well as small college and local heroes.
RMF NBA 2K Tournament
The Renee Montgomery Foundation hosted its first NBA 2K tournament in July of 2021. Esteemed Autumn Johnson and Larry Laptop hosted the tournament. Gaming manager for the Brooklyn Nets O.G. King Kurt amplified the event, and players from all over the country signed up to attend. Players competed in a skill competition to win a grand prize of $500 and face off against celebrity player Kimbo Slice Jr for ultimate bragging rights.
RMF x Wellspring Cyber Event
RMF and IBM collaborated with the Wellspring Community and hosted a cyber event called the Internet of Me, Protecting your online identity. Joe Formanek from IBM was the speaker and taught the Wellspring girls key elements to safely engage in the internet while protecting their internet footprint. Once the girls completed the event, they received Amazon tablets, swag bag items, and an RMF x IBM certificate certifying the completion of the event.
RMF x OTE Holiday Game
Overtime Elite hosted the RMF Communities of the Boys & Girls Club and Renee’s Runs for a Holiday Game event on December 14, 2021. The communities received transportation to and from the event, dinner before the game, Floor seats, and halftime entertainment. Everyone enjoyed the high-energy event, and we are looking forward to more collaborations with Overtime Elite in the future!
RMF x YMCA Stocking Stuffer
RMF and YMCA joined up for the 1st annual Stocking stuffer. The RMF community joined the YMCA in handing out gifts and presented the YMCA with a $1000 check to boost the event’s reach. The program was a huge hit and the RMF foundation cannot wait to be apart every year!
